CLUB TRYOUT INFORMATION

There are two waves of tryouts - Summer (mid-July) and Fall (late October/Early November). In order to participate in the winter club season beginning in November and ending in March or April, a player must attend tryouts. Space on teams will be filled primarily with Summer tryouts. Fall tryouts will serve as a place to fill remaining space on teams if it exists. Participating in summer tryouts is the best way to potentially end up on one of our teams.
Age Definitions:
The correct age group is the age the player is turning between 7/1/26 & 6/30/27. Grades listed are TYPICAL grade levels for that age group. Special cases may apply due to birthdates.

Membership:
All participants must have a membership with Heart of America Volleyball in order to participate. Summer memberships are available at a discounted rate. If you played club volleyball for the 2025-2026 season, your membership will cover the summer tryout season as it expires 8/31/2026. Fall tryout attendees will need a new tryout membership that becomes available 10/1/2026.

EXPECTED TIMELINE - GIRLS

Tryouts
End of Day, July 11th: Players with offers will be notified via phone call of the offer. Offers can officially be accepted starting Tuesday, July 14th. Offers expire on Thursday, July 16th.

After acceptance: Deposits of $200 are due by August 15th, 2026. Payment can be made online through the links on our "Make a Payment" page with registration in LeagueApps or by mailing a check to the address on that page also.

Between July 14th and July 16th: Additional offers may be made to players that were not extended an offer immediately after tryouts if space is available. Emails will be sent to all players in the age group without offers when spaces have been filled and/or final decisions have been made. There will be an additional round of tryouts on the Sunday after KSHSAA State (late October or early November) to fill remaining holes or potential new teams.

Recruitment & Commitment Policy

Tryouts must not occur prior to July 11th, 2026. 
Parents/players must not be pressured to accept an offer prior to  Wednesday, July 16th and official acceptance can begin on July 14th, 2026.
